Jane
Jane, a 59-year-old widow, complains of a "crawling, aching" feeling in her legs, which seems to happen every night as soon as she tries to sit down and relax. When Jane has these symptoms, she finds it difficult to resist the urge to move her legs. Jane has trouble falling asleep at night because of her leg symptoms, and in the morning, she feels tired.

Jane is diagnosed as having primary Restless Legs Syndrome, following a comprehensive consultation with her physician. Jane's symptoms mirror the four key International Restless Legs Syndrome Study Group (IRLS Study Group) diagnostic criteria.
